Mr. Gobble Gobble

This year has past by very quickly. In a few weeks it will be turkey time. But I'm not a big fan of turkey, I love ham. Speaking of turkey I made a cute turkey clippie, they could be found in my etsy and artfire shop. Happy Thanksgiving!

I have finally taken the plunge and joined the Artfire bandwagon. I have an artfire studio, YAY! Here goes the link to check it out: MsJCreations

Crafting update

So whats been going on in my crafting world? Well, over the last couple of weeks I've been working on a few custom orders and I made more key fobs. Just about all of the key fobs in the photo are listed in my etsy shop. Now I'm working on college hair accessories, since football season has started, and Halloween items. But here goes some pictures of one of my custom orders and key fobs.

Happy Labor Day

My Labor Day weekend was pretty good. Besides having problems with my sinus, I had a great time with my family this weekend. My family from Texas, Florida, and Mississippi came to visit us this weekend. We even threw one of my aunt a surprise birthday party. So how was your labor day weekend?

Bow Snap Clips

Okay, so I took a break from making key fobs. Lately I've been working on some school bows. I'm sorry that I don't have pictures, the customers needed them right away. Besides making school bows, I made some cute bow snap clips. I love adding things to snap clips, especially colored snap clips.

The bows are made from ribbon and measures a little over 1" across. The snap clips measures 1 1/2" in length. The colors are beautiful. Check out the listing: Bow snap clips

More Key Fobs

Yep, I love making key fobs! Here are some recent key fobs that I've made. I had listed the Breast Cancer key fob on etsy, but it just recently sold. I will be listing more fobs soon. All proceeds for the "Jesus Loves Me" key fob will be donated to the church I attended (First Evening Star Baptist Church) building fund. Since the congregation is growing, and we are now in a small church, the church bought some land and decided to build a bigger church. Stop by my etsy shop to check them out.

My New Passion

I have a new passion or craft I shall say, key fobs. Key Fobs are fun to make! I've been had the supplies stored in my craft storage box. All I needed to do was setup my sewing machine.

I had received a sewing machine for Christmas and it was still sitting in the box in the corner. So a few weeks ago I finally took it out the box and rearranged my room so I could set it up.

I'm a beginner when it comes to sewing. I have a basic Singer machine. I thought it would be hard to thread, but it was easy. What a relief that was. The Key Fobs were my first sewing project. I've sold a couple of them to local customers. I just might list some in my Etsy shop.

RIP Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

I was hoping that the shocking, unexpected news of Michael Jackson passing was all but a dream or a rumor. But when I when I woke up this morning and saw the current news I realized that it was not a dream. The King of Pop is indeed dead at the age of 50. This is just so hard for me to believe.

Even though Micheal Jackson is a lot older than me, I grew up listening to his music. He made great music and was a great dancer/entertainer. Today I watched the videos of all of MJ songs. These videos were like mini films. I just love watching Michael perform.

This week has been a sad week for Hollywood. First they loss Ed Mahaon, then Farrah Fawacett, and Michael Jackson. Ed was a great sidekick to Johnny, but I guess God decided that he needed another sidekick so he chose Ed. Farrah fought the fight. But God needed another Angel and chose one of Charlies Angel. My heart and prayers goes out to all of the beaver families. RIP Ed, Farrah, and Michael.

My First Fabric Covered Bracelet

Two weeks ago was my first time ever making a fabric covered bracelet. I must admit, they are fun to make. I'm sure I will be making more soon when I find more cute fabric. They are easy to make, but I just had a hard time getting the hooks off with the pliers.

The bracelet is listed in my etsy shop. The fabric on the buttons is dark blue with shooting stars. The buttons measure 1/2" and the bracelet measure 6 1/2 inches. Great accessory to wear with any 4th of July outfit.

I was so glad to see that I have a follower. Thanks for following me and I will be following you. I'm still new to blogging, still trying to get the hang of things around here.

The Weekend

I had a great weekend. On Friday, my niece had a birthday party/slumber party at the local hotel at the casino. Family and friends attended the party and about five of her friends spent the night for the slumber party. The party was in a suite and my sister had an extra room on a different floor so her two sons could stay. So me and my daughter slept in the room with my nephews. The bed was soooo comfy, I didn't want to wake the next morning.

After getting up Saturday morning me, Lisa, and my baby sister went to Lafayette to go spend this JCPenney gift card I had won. I really enjoyed shopping for myself, that hadn't happened in a long time. Afterwards we ate at IHOP.

On Sunday after attending church we was all sitting outside in the back yard enjoying the sunny hot weather. While sitting outside I got bored and started making some woven headbands. I made a Minnie Mouse Woven Headband and a Cherry Headband. I will be posting them soon in my etsy shop:
